We started out as a home security installation company in Seattle. We were fortunate to be in the middle of a housing and technology boom surrounding Microsoft, Amazon and a host of other companies that grew up in Seattle.

Building contractors started asking for audio video systems in addition to the home security service.
We began adding new manufacturers and distributors expanding the product base.

After 8 years or so, the economy began slowing down along with new construction. In addition new electrical regulations lobbied for by the large corporations doing home security made it almost impossible to continue.

We decided to open an ecommerce store with all the products we installed for many years.

Since about 2002 we have been operating our entire business online.

We are a mom and pop shop. Our products drop ship to our customers from the various distributors and manufacturers.

The business model helps keep costs down and our prices can stay as low as possible.

The process is not perfect but we promise to do our best. Sometimes items are discontinued that customers order. We are never notified by manufacturers or distributors when an item has been discontinued. We find out when we process the order. We then notify the customer and remove the item from our database. we are essentially a source for products we do not have to stock.

Our online database has over 150,000 products.

There is a vast array of products not in our store yet. If you are looking for something, don't hesitate to ask and we will search it out for you.

This includes anything electrical, low voltage, audio video, security, CCTV, fire alarm and communication systems.

We are also able to source products from other countries.

We accept all major credit cards. We will also accept payment by cashiers check or by money order. Checks may be held several days to clear before shipment is released. Make checks and money orders payable to Garrett Smart Electronics. Sorry, no COD orders are accepted. We also accept terms for government and educational institutions as special qualified businesses. All prices are subject to change without notice.

We no longer accept Paypal due to their high merchant fees.

Shipping

Most items are shipped UPS by our distributors. Large objects may ship via alternate freight carriers.

If you have an UPS or Fed Ex account some distributors will accept it. email us your order or add your account number to the comment field of the online order.
