Practical Tips For Keeping Your Kitchen Plumbing In Tip-Top Shape

A clogged pipe in the home can be a severe problem that can lead to foul odors, germs, insects, and plumbing costs. To avoid reaching these extremes, it is best to keep the pipes clean and cared for on the first day, thus preventing the accumulation of organic remains, lime, and other substances that can be poured through them.

To place protective grids. One way to prevent unwanted products from entering the drain is by using protective grates. In addition, organic debris will accumulate on the net, making it easier to remove.

Do not pour grease down the drain. Even if you are one of those who throw all kinds of substances down the sink, you should know that sooner or later, you will end up clogging them and spoiling them. For example, one of the forbidden substances is the oils that, besides being very harmful, form a film around the pipe that will prevent the water from circulating correctly. It is also a polluting substance that will end up directly in the seas and rivers.

Do not use the sink as a wastepaper basket. Before placing any item of pottery in the sink, check that it does not contain food leftovers. These should go directly to the garbage without going, if possible, through the sink.

Do not throw papers or hair down the toilet. Many wet reports claim to be degradable, but just in case, it is always better to dispose of them in wastepaper baskets. In the same way, it happens with the remains of hair that we fall; the hair will end up forming a clog in the pipes that can cause serious problems.

Once a week, pour a pot of boiling water down the drain to help eliminate grease and odors.

If your kitchen plumbing is already clogged and home remedies and supermarket products don’t seem to do the trick, it’s time to take things a step further.

Hydro jetting plumbing uses a high-pressure water jet to clean the inside surfaces of plumbing pipes. This process removes scale, grease, and other debris accumulated inside the pipe walls for some time.

In most machines, the high-pressure jets are directed forward by a pipe connected with a hose to the motor, and as the force of the water clears the blockage, the hose is advanced through the line. A continuous marker and a marker ring mark the progress inside the pipe. The hoses are usually heavy-duty, with textile reinforcement for strength without sacrificing flexibility, a metal nipple for optimum mobility in the tube, and brass fittings for long service life.

Unlike rodding, where a plumber uses a tool to drill a hole through the buildup, hydro jetting plumbing achieves a thorough cleaning of the pipes. With hydro jetting plumbing, no clog can resist the force of that powerful blast of water. As a result, it completely opens the line, clears out all debris and buildup, and cleans the inside of the pipe.

Hydro jetting plumbing uses no harsh substances and generates no waste; it is a powerful blast of pure water down the drain. That makes it utterly harmless for homes and buildings located near water sources and for homeowners who are enthusiastic about environmental conservation.
